Artist's Description
Burnside Bridge crossing over Antietam Creek, which is located in Antietam National Battlefield, Sharpsburg Maryland. Crossing over Antietam Creek, the bridge played a key role in the September 1862 Battle of Antietam during the American Civil War when a small number of Confederate soldiers from Georgia for several hours held off repeated attempts by elements of the Union Army to take the bridge by force. About Andy Lawless
Welcome to my site! May my photographs resonate within you, bringing joy and a smile into your life. Thank you Charles, walking throughout the battlefield can produce a very somber mood, as everywhere you walking American blood was spilt. Gettysburg has the same feeling.
